Helping Boxers Touching Lives

As Boxer owners we know the level of care and support a Boxer needs and deserves. Also, we are fully aware that so many times this need is not met and some Boxers fall through the cracks, or hopefully into the hands of Rescue Organizations that do their best to help resolve this injustice. How is this done? By any means possible but the bottom line comes down to RESOURCES. Often there is just not enough people or money to save every Boxer. It is up to us as Boxer owners to "pass on" any means of help to Boxers, and Rescue Organizations. Whether it is using our home, giving our time, car, letters, tips, toys, or money.

We all like to see money well spent. Especially when the gift continues to give and give. I am afraid that many times when it comes to making a donation that we do not think "outside of the box". We hear of a Boxer in need; rally to the need; feel good that a Boxer was helped. However, my friends, our thinking should go beyond this. We need to go beyond the boundaries of "a Boxer was helped" to "what impact will this Boxer have on other people"!

Think about your own Boxer(s) and the impact they have had on you, your family, the neighborhood and anyone else they have come in contact with, and the friends you have made because of being a Boxer owner. Since becoming a Boxer owner friends have been made across this great land: North, Midwest, West, East, South as well as in different countries. The stories we have shared make us laugh and at times cry. None of us could put a price on our Boxer(s). I think of one Boxer that lives for his walks in the community, and the folks that spoil him. Why, that neighborhood would not be the same with out him. Others have therapy dogs that for a moment bring a smile to someone's face and helps them forget about their troubles or where they may be and why.

Then there are our friends that foster in Boxer rescue and make unwanted Boxers part of their family, and those who have overlooked the occasional "damage to property", and their willingness to meet the medical needs the Boxer incurred because of this behavior.

I know Boxers have touched my life. In what way, will that Boxer you help, touch someone? Will they be the one that brings companionship to a lonely soul; smiles to the infirm; teach responsible ownership to children to help stop the cycle of irresponsibility for the next generation; or open new avenues of friendship?

So by thinking "outside of the box" your small donation goes a long way to touching lives both Boxer and human.

Remember…It's All About Boxers
