Guidelines for Posting Images to ~AAB
- Think small! Correct or reduce you image size when possible to (W) 3.5 inches X (H) 3 inches (this is approximate) or less. This is about 256 X 216 in Pixels. Save your images as JPG or GIF files. Preferably JPG when not animated. These are smaller and load much faster. If your image is a little larger, you can still put it up…just put it into a reply to your original message. Also if you desire to post multiple images at once, use the reply.
- Don't post your pictures in the subject line, make sure you place your picture link in the message box…or they start replicating!
- Pictures should be rated G, family friendly to skin and furkidz. Zany and hysterical is perfectly acceptable.
- If a picture is related to Rescue, Canine Health, or In Memory Of… ~AAB will take responsibility for deleting as it seems appropriate. We want to encourage our rescue people to post, and update, with having to concern themselves with coming back to change it later.
- Here's the biggy! If a picture has been up say 3-5 days and you are no longer getting replies to the message, go into your picture host site and delete the image link there. That way the message itself and all the replies will stay on the board.
- ~AAB will periodically do some housecleaning when the board appears to bog down. We will try to be careful and not remove the rescue information, health issues, or things of serious importance. So if something of yours should suddenly disappear after a week, or two…it is just the natural consequence of cleaning house. All posts pass into oblivion after they reach the end of archive 5.
- Last but not least…feel free to post your pictures, and use the board as your own. These simple guidelines should help us keep the board loading fast. These guidlines may change as needed for the benefit of the Board and at the discretion of Voy.
