Important Note for those who have installed a previous version of DVC-Planner: You must uninstall your previous version before installing Version 2.01. (Go to Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove programs). Your current program settings will be retained. If you have saved vacation plans, most will be OK, but if they load incorrectly, you can simply redo the vacation plan and resave it.

DVC-Chart Version 2.0 (release date: 3/7/2007)
This is a free, 'fun' program which shows DVC point charts for the current 8 DVC resorts for all years 1991 through 2057. It also calculates several holiday dates for any of those years, and allows the user to add personal 'family dates' such as "Johnny's 10th birthday", automatically calculating the birthday's number. It even has an alarm feature.

Important Note for those who have installed a previous version of DVC-Chart: You must uninstall your previous version before installing Version 2.0. (Go to Start, Control Panel, Add/Remove programs)
If you have created Family Dates that you wish to keep, you must first copy the file "FamilyDates.ini" to another folder. Then uninstall the existing DVC-Chart program, and install the new version. Finally, copy the saved file "FamilyDates.ini" back to the installation folder, overwriting the default file newly installed by version 2.0
DVC-Tracker Version 2.00 (release date: 07/05/2008) System Requirements: Minimum screen resolution 800x600. Windows 98 SP2 or higher (XP, Vista, etc). DVC-Tracker cannot be used on a network. (If you have a home network, due to registration requirements, it can only be used by one of the computers on your network, not all of them)
Use this program to Track usage of your DVC points. You enter your contract information, record all point transactions such as banking, borrowing, transfers, reservations and so on, and the program keeps track of everything by contract, resort, use year, point status (regular, holding, reservation, banked, borrowed, developer) and so on. There are a number of special features to check point balances, reservations, banking deadlines, as well as other special reports, graphs, and even a logbook where you can record your daily activities and keep track of your expenses. You can even use the program for 'cash' reservations where you might make reservations at other hotels. DVC-Tracker is free for all members who wish to track 300 points or less. Upgrades are available to track larger memberships, and upgrades for bonus features are also available.

(Note substitute the actual Program Name (Planner, Chart, or Tracker) any place you see the phrase NameHere)
1. Download the self-extracting ZIP file (named DVC-NameHereZIP.exe) by clicking on the download link located directly above. You will be asked whether you want to SAVE the download to your computer, or to OPEN it directly. (If you save it on your computer, keep track of what directory you saved it in.)
2-A. If you OPENED it as part of the download process, then the extraction process will automatically start upon download completion.
2-B. If you SAVED it as part of the download, then you will need to launch (run) the extraction program. Do this by using your MyComputer or Windows Explore file directory program to navigate to the drive/directory where you saved the downloaded file. There simply select the file DVC-NameHereZIP.exe and run it. (Either double-click on the filename or right click on the filename and select OPEN from the pop-up window.
3. The Zip file you downloaded will say it's ready to Extract the installation program. Click the EXTRACT button to continue. The actual program installation will automatically start after extraction is completed.
4. During installation the program will put a shortcut on your desktop and another shortcut in your Start/Programs directory under the folder DVC Planner and a filename of DVC-NameHere by Caskbill.
Your computer security is important to me. I certify all DVC programs by Caskbill are free of any adware, spyware, or viruses of any kind.
DVC Programs by Caskbill are for Windows PC's only. Windows 98 (SR2 or newer.) Sorry, there are no versions for the Mac. DVC-Tracker is Vista compatible. DVC-Chart and DVC-Planner have not yet been fully converted to work with Windows Vista and may experience some problems. If you have Vista and experience any problems, an email to Caskbill@etczone.com would be appreciated.
DVC Programs by Caskbill all use Windows Installer 2.0 which is standard with Windows. Your computer will notify you if you need to update your installer from Microsoft's download site.
Finally, the legal stuff: DVC Programs by Caskbill are distributed as either freeware or shareware. Freeware means the programs are free to use by individuals only. Programs may not be used as any part of a commercial business. Definitions and requirements are provided as part of the EULA statement upon program installation.
The basic DVC-Tracker program is available as freeware, however optional upgrades are available. Upgrades for DVC-Tracker are for one program and it's single associated database, located on no more than two computers (EG Desktop & Laptop). Registration is required.
